Chanda was born in Lafayette, LA, where her family migrated to from Spain. She lived in Lafayette until she was 14-years old and then moved to Mississippi. While attending high school in Mississippi, she developed an interest in foreign languages took classes in multiple languages. Chanda decided to pursue learning Spanish due to its widespread use and furthered her studies in it.
Chanda pursued her studies at Southwest Mississippi Community College and earned her Associates Degree in Office Management in 2015, graduating with honors. While in college, she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Co-President of Phi Beta Lambda in 2014, and President in 2015. Chanda is currently pursuing her Bachelors degree at Mississippi College with a Major in Homeland Security and a minor in Criminal Justice
Chanda started working with Elmore & Peterson in 2019, and currently serves as a receptionist, legal assistant, and Spanish Interpreter. Chanda understands the hardships that comes with families that are separated due to immigration issues and is excited to be part of a team that works to keep families safe and together.
