Elmore and Peterson Law Firm is pleased to announce the hiring of Ms. Zeily Orozco-Miranda as a legal secretary with the firm. Zeily is 26 years old and she is originally from Guatemala. She arrived to the United States in January of 2008 when she was 17 years old. When she arrived to the United States she did not speak any English. Zeily began her education taking English as a Second Language classes at Jackson State University. She then attended Bailey Magnet High School for about a year. She finally earned her GED diploma after studying for two years and then attended Hinds Community College and earned her Associate's Degree with honors as a Cum Laude student in December of 2016. She proudly became a United States citizen in March of 2015, year in which she also got married. Today, Zeily expects her first child at the end of 2017.

Zeily worked at two local restaurants in Jackson, MS for 8 years as a prep cook. She is very grateful for the great experience she gained working there, as this led her to the new stage that begins today in her life. Zeily is very interested in learning about immigration laws in order to be able to help other people that are going through the same path that she went through to obtain her legal status in the United States. She feels that Elmore & Peterson is the perfect place to learn through experience and that way be able to help others.  She learns something new every day and enjoys her job very much.  She is honored and pleased to be part of the Elmore & Peterson Family.
